what a bittersweet day... Ryan graduated from kindergarten today.
this week has been busy with the un-birthday party, sports day, the art show, the field trip to Round Table, etc. Mrs. Latone closed out the year with a promotion ceremony for her class. (note: we were only told about it the day before which totally set me off --- but yeah, i won't get into it since we're finally DONE with this school year and i'm not going to let Mrs. L annoy me...) anyway...
the promotion ceremony started with the children saying the pledge of allegiance.
after the pledge, Mrs. Pelican led the group in singing "America, the Beautiful" - totally cute!
Mrs. Latone said a few words about the class, shed some tears and read a poem to the kids (which they got in a scroll)...
she called each child up by name to get their scrolls and shake hands --- photo ops, of course!
