our poor little max n' ruby

i still want to call 'em maxie n' georgie but the kids still won't go for it... darn!

i haven't measured them lately, but they are soooo much bigger now now... i'll have to bust out the ruler soon... :)

they have been initiated into the familia by Ryan and the girls...

RY'S INITIATION --- Bubble Bath anyone?
one day while i was upstairs doing laundry, Kiana came running up the stairs panicking saying she needed to find me. she kept saying that i needed to see what Ryan did... so i ran down the stairs to see the turtle tank filled to the very top with a bazillion bubbles. gah!

i immediately grabbed Max & Ruby and temporarily placed them in their traveling case thingy... i had to completely empty the tank, wash the filter and all the rocks and wipe down the sides of the tank./ Jon came to the rescue and set the entire tank up again... including a new filter to replace the soap-filled one. so cool of him

when i asked Ry why he poured bubbles into the tank, he replied (and this is sweet), "Mommy, i am sorry. i just thought the turtles might like a bubble bath. they are dirty. plus, bubbles are fun."

very sweet thought but.. um.. yeah... no... lol! i gave him a stern talk about not putting ANYTHING in the turtle tank ever again... he hasn't done anything since! pretty good, yes?

poor max n' ruby - they've absolutely been initiated into the family.

oh yeah... a few days later, Ry told me that Kia was dropping money into the tank (UGH!) after fishinig out all of the coins, i asked Kia why she dropped the money into the tank, she said that she thought they needed some money so she was sharing...

oh dear, what ARE we in for??? AAAAGGGGHHH!!!
