it's family fun day! :D

today was a fun day for us... we haven't had a day like this in a while...

we went to AJ Calimlim's birthday party where we got to hang out with friends and play with the kids... there was very little stress hanging out there since the kids were comfortable at Stacie's. they weren't too high maintenance... Ry hung out with the boys and the girls played with Sonia and did a lot of jumping in the bouncy house. Stan and I got to hang out with John, Jen, Raghu, Lori, Colin, Riz, Neal and Stacie for a while. it was really nice! we did lots of catching up and were very productive in figuring out Stan's travel plans with Neal for JD's Las Vegas Bachelor Party. i love Stacie's family, they're so awesome. her mom, sister and Auntie Selena really rock. she had a teacher friend there, too, that i had met before (though i can't remember her name) who was fabulous in playing with the kids. it was really cool.

after the party, we hit Costco - which was ok except for the fact that i made 3 separate trips to the bathroom. no, not just for me... i was the first trip... then Kiana had to go... then Ryan/Kaili... ugh! i was so annoyed! Kiana went into meltdown at one point (she was pretty overstimulated after we left AJ's party) so i took the girls to the car and Ry helped Stan...

the kids were starving for pizza so we hit Premier Pizza after our Costco run (we didn't have many perishables and it wasn't hot out so we figured we were safe)... the pizza was soooooo good! Stan was kind enough to get my favorite mushroom, olive and tomato pizza and eat it with me. the kids at their favorite --- plain ol' cheese... :)

we decided to hit Old Navy and DSW since we were in the area. Stan got a few things and so did Ryan. Kiana and Kaili each got a bucket hat and i got some cute sandals. it was bizarre... when we got there, Stan noticed two girls with full bags leaving. he said "if i didn't know better, i'd think those girls just lifted stuff" --- but we didn't think anything of it since no one from the store ran out after them. it was pretty much forgotten after we got into the store and shopped a little. after Old Navy, we walked over to DSW because i really wanted to look at purses and see if i could find some cute casual shoes. as we were walking in, Stan noticed the girls again. only this time, they had empty bags (i'm talking about tote bags not shopping bags). immediately, he told the store manager to keep an eye out because he thought they were up to something... and sure enough --- they were! while Stan was checking out shoes, he noticed that the girls had run outside (each with bags full of shoes) and some employees running after them. they did get the license plate number so hopefully they'll be able to trace it. (the car was pretty uniqe according to Stan - it was pink!) sigh --- only a criminal mind could know what those criminals were up to... i would've had no idea whatsovever that they were up to anything. way to be a good citizen, 'eh? ((oh yeah, if you're wondering, i DID pick up a new purse... it's blue'ish, grey'ish... not a fancy brand - it's Chinese Laundry... it's big ass purse but i love it!!! :D

* after our shopping trip, the kids got ready for bed immediately. it was pretty rockin' to see them ready for bed by 9pm... i read them their story (which Kiana was not happy with since it was about dinosaurs and she's such the little princess) and they fell asleep - yay!

wondering how tomorrow will be... hope it's as fun and that we all get to bond again. originally, we were going to hit the Exploratorium with the GrandKwongs and the Twins... but now i'm not sure what we're doing... whatever we do, i hope it's a blast and we do more bonding... i am starting to feel so much happier already having Stan around to help me out. it's nice to not feel "alone," y'know?
