today, i had to take Kaili and Ryan in to see Dr. Hogue to have their ears re-checked.
three weeks ago, Kaili had an ear infection. she was supposed to go for her re-check last week but i had something going on (i can't remember what!) so i had to reschedule. then last week - all week, Ry had a fever then complained about his ears hurting. he was out of school for 5 days! ugh! yesterday, we saw Dr. Cronin - i wanted to have her peek at his ears. i had Ry and Kaili with me since Kia was at school. we walk into the ped's office and the first thing i hear is "Hello Mrs. Kwong, who do we have here today?" how embarrassing that in the month of May, Kiana and Ryan have been in to see Dr. Cronin for illness then have had re-checks with Dr. Hogue. Kaili has been in for illness and recheck. Tomorrow is Kia's 4-year- well check. as of tomorrow, we've been in 6 times to Fremont Pediatric and Stan & i will have been at Nakgawa Clinic to see Dr. Trinh one time each... yes, all in the month of May!
the kids think Dr. Hogue is the best pediatrician... and they also love Dr. Cronin because she always finds "birds" in their ears. LOL!
what makes it worse is that the people at both Target and Walgreens pharmacies know me, too. especially at Target pharm. Flora and the manager (i forget her name, the petite and very happy Indian lady) have approved my Advair 500/50 and QVAR 80 so many times for the insurance that it's ridiculous. the Filipino guy and the blonde chick are really nice, too - and they know me by name. "So Mrs. Kwong - just your prescriptions or do the kids have them, too?" i'm in every-other-week at least! now i need to figure out our flexible spending stuff to get the tax free monies back into Stan's check.
so... is it a good thing that they all know me? i swear my face turns beat red whenever i walk into those places. i should be happy that they know me and are so nice to me. but it's still embarrassing that we have so many health problems in our house that bring me there so much. sad, isn't it?
just looked at all of the receipts for the meds we've gotten since January...
Annie: Advair 500/50, QVAR, Lexapro, Singulair, Fexophenadine, Nasonex, Patanol, Hydromet, Zithromax, Albuterol (inhaler), Cipro-something (twice for ear infections), a nasal rinse
Kaili: Singulair granules, Nasonex, Zithromax, Omnicef, Pulmicort respules, Albuterol respules
Kiana: Elidel, Atarax, Nasonex, Patanol
Ryan: Nasonex
Stan: Cipro-something drops for ears
how sad!!! i think Stan will be going on his blood pressure meds again, too.
no wonder we're always broke! it's all the meds!
