Complete December 26th album on our Smugmug --- password: turtles
Laura & Dave's wedding wasn't scheduled until 4 o'clock that afternoon. We had some free time since we didn't have to leave until 3:30'ish...
Stan and Ryan went out for some "guy time" --- they hit the Swap Meet at Aloha Stadium... (Stan didn't bring the camera... they came home with a ton of t-shirts and little trinkets...)
The Girlies and I went to breakfast at IHOP down the street and hit the shops at the hotel -- there were so many to window shop at... The girls even picked up a few items for themselves... random pics are in our album link above... the girls LOVED posing for pictures by "pretty things."
We finally started getting ready for the wedding... The kids were so excited about wearing their matching Aloha outfits...
The ceremony was held at the little church at Laura's alma mater - Iolani School. The ceremony was simple and very sweet... Dave and Laura are a great couple...
after the ceremony, the photographer shot pics of family and friends... he took a large group photo like he did at Elena's wedding - can't wait to see it!
when it wasn't our turn to be in the pics, we took advantage of the play structure that was located right outside the church...
they each took a spin on the slide with Mellie, too... here's Holden - he really enjoyed having a baby cousin to play with....
the Bride & Groom (& his parents) leave for the reception...
The reception was held at the Moana Surfrider in Waikiki... Laura had some hiccups with the reception the week prior to the wedding because Obama was going to be in town and his press corps were taking over the hotel.
The cocktail reception was moved outside to the terrace (which was GORGEOUS!) and the dinner/dancing to a different room... Everything was beautifully done at the hotel - didn't matter where we were!
it was sunset so we got some great background scenery in our pics... lol - too bad our subjects weren't as cooperative... (normally, Kia is so photogenic - she was starving so she wasn't so happy... appetizers made us happy, though... yummiest crab cakes ever!)
We sat at Table #8 with the GrandKwongs + Ian & Holden --- Heidi & Dan were originally at our table but the kids wanted to stay together... no problem there! We were happy to hang with them...
Melody was thrilled to have open space (well, sort of!) to practice her walking... and lots of new friends to play with... here she is with Kia & K... and again with 2 of the triplets - Marley (?) & Stephanie... not pictured is Chloe.
The highlight for the kiddos, though... DANCING! Ry was a machine!!!
the girls did pretty well, too!
