5 years ago today...

Thinking back, I am verklempt thinking about where I was and what I was doing 5 years ago at this moment.  I was in an OR at Stanford, on a table, waiting for Dr. El-Sayed to deliver my preemie... hoping she was ok... but knowing that as soon as that first incision was made, that it was up to the hands of God and my surgical team to ensure that I did not bleed out and that Melody and I both came through surgery alive, and with minimal complications.

So thankful that Mellie's delivery and surgery were successful, and that we both came out of the hospital healthy.

I just re-read the blog post I made about her birth... we were truly blessed that day.
